Thanksgiving
The world around me is soft and sheened with gray rain, today. Many of the trees have shed their leaves. They lie in wet heaps upon the ground. In a little while, my Dad and I will head out to spend the holiday with Joel, Ellen and their family. I am thankful for that.
I am thankful to exist, and for all that I have been given. Most of all, I am thankful for the people and souls that have touched my life. The richness of the treasures we are given is truly hard to comprehend at times. It goes far beyond words.
So I am sitting here, in the smooth quiet, with a cup of hot coffee. Alone for a time, with the thoughts of what I am thankful for.
