Not to be a corporate shill or anything but I have to say, Apple really does make impressive technology -- and software.

Over the weekend, Kelli bought a 12 inch Apple - iBook G4 -- and it has worked flawlessly. From trying out a bluetooth dongle, to installing an Airport card and logging onto a wireless "hotspot", the iBook handled it all. With no drivers to install, no cryptic error messages, and no crashes. It works the way you'd think all computers should work by this point. Using Mac OS X is very cool, too. The OS is elegant and powerful and the included "iLife" applications are some of the smoothest things I've seen (my personal favorite is Gargeband, at least at the moment).

Very sweet, indeed.

Though now I have an even worse case of gadget envy...
