Holiday Vibe

I caught a soft Christmas vibe when I was out shopping for gifts, yesterday. It felt nice and I'm actually a bit ahead in the presents department, now. That's a change of pace for me.

Of course, it is always tempered...

Anyway, I'm here with some seasonal tunes playing. The day dipping into purple dusk. I'm a bit jittery. The Christmas lights outside look pretty, though. I actually swirled through a big-time clean-up around here a few days ago. Everything looks shiny and neat now.

I popped some asprin for a budding headache and I'm going to make myself something to eat. And try to recall that Holiday feeling. That'd be good.

They say it's supposed to snow tonight...

The cars curve down slow, on the hill. The beams of their headlights gone soft-edged and ghostly.

Some moments after nine...and it is whitening outside.

Much deeper, now. Sharp angles erased by pale curves and drifts.

I did some late-night shoveling...but the path has grown shallow again, powdered over. At times, the snow hangs almost motionless in the air. Glimmering, suspended.

Then it is back to falling in lush white waves.
