Saturday Pre-Lighting

Wrapping pine trees with green lights, under a charcoal-smudge sky. Whisps, curving from my coffee mug. Cheeks cold. Decorating with my Dad. Pal, supervising.

It's dark out there, now. (We'll save the power surge for tomorrow: Light Up Night in Green Tree.) At the moment I'm undoing my boots, cheeks and fingertips warming slow.

I'm kind of hungry. Feeling quiet.

Think I'll make some Pad Thai.

--- And I just realized that this marks my 300th weblog entry for The Allurium. I'm pretty sure that this is the most I've written in any of my online journals, from I Have Nothing To Say, through Tangerine: A Book of Hours, to Slant and Motion Ghost. Nifty.
