In the Doorway...

...Of the Memorial Day weekend, and the air has a thick, misty texture. All the new greenery is sheened with moisture. The earth is soft. A cool breeze cuts through the mugginess -- but only briefly. Like a wink.

I got a fair amount of stuff done today and I'm looking forward to the holiday. I think it's time to uncurl and get out in the air and landscape. Maybe have a book and a beer...and enjoy some (hopefully) sunny hours.
