Alrighty! Now that that is settled...

It's time to bust out the papier-mache and start Phase One of my Tiki Guy Wedding Card Holder (tm). Groovy!

Phase

Another muggy one.

Monday is sort of phasing by. Coffee, chores, a bit of surfing. I'm kind of dragging today, for no real reason...

I grabbed a copy of Night Watch yesterday and watched it last night. It is very cool (context sensitive subtitles and all). I enjoyed the movie a great deal -- especially the "Gloom" stuff. I hope they delve into that further in the coming sequels. If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend giving it a view. (Also, the preview for Broken Saints: Complete Series on the dvd really caught my attention. I'll have to check out that collection at some point; It looks nifty.)

Time for a cool shower, now. Maybe that will perk me up a bit more.

Ah, Mondays...

Subaquatic Friday

Water gives the day a soft focus. The air is misty and saturated with liquid. All the shades of green, outside, are wet and glimmery. The mugginess draws water from my skin, as well. Moisture: everywhere.

It's a subaquatic Friday.

But I have a couple of beers chilling in the fridge and a cool shower, waiting. Then I think I'll stir-fry some tofu and head out for the evening.

Here's to the weekend! (Even if we have to swim through it.)

Summer Solstice

Spring washed in with a shower of flower petals and raindrops...then quieted and pretended to be Summer for a while. It's the real deal, now, though (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). Summer's entrance feels bright and welcome -- even though I'm writing this at night and the breeze through my window is a bit cool.

I am looking forward to this season, and hope that it is long, golden and filled with life, love, happiness and health for all.

Hello Summer!

Atlantic

I was at the Atlantic, last night. I remember digging in the smooth wet sand, watching the waves, almost being able to smell the water. It was so real...

Except for the giant robots.

Got up early: coffee, cereal, and the Sunday paper circulars. It is chilly, but bright, here. Though I grabbed some morning time, I am definitely being pulled by a strong nap tide, now. Usually, after my coffee intake, I am ready to ramble through the day. Now I'm just ready to snooze.

Maybe I'll dream of the beach again. Here's hoping...

Friday Confetti

It's bright, today. Bird-song, cool air, and the waxing and waning of sunshine, cast in glowing lines through my window. Gabby-the-cat is sleeping on my clean shirt...

Congratulations, Greg, on officially getting your new place. I hope it is a great home for you and that you are very happy there.

Rock on Pooh Bear. You've always been tops in my book.

A belated Happy 40th Birthday to you, Steve. Here's to aging like a fine wine and all that. Sorry I missed the get-together...

I dreamt of riding a bike, down the long road that runs past my childhood home. I can still hear the sound of those wheels turning. Still feel the smooth dream motion.

Joel stopped by, earlier, to visit for a bit. He's on his way up to Penn State, tonight. We chatted about tuxes and tiki guys.

It's going to be rice and veggies for dinner, tonight. And I'm hungry. Time to get cookin!

[gray square divider]

Well, I'm ready for the evening such as it may be. Trying to flutter over the angst and open out into some happier moments.

Here's to a good weekend...

Imaginary Breezes

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

Quiet. Dark. Like a steam-wet towel, the heat is wrapped around thick. Heavy.

Not even an hour left on the first day of June and I am listening to the whispery sounds of the highway, imagining breezes. And sweating. May slipped away subtle. The new month drifted in on raindrops. Spring running down faster. Time is piling up at the doorway to Summer. Not far now.

Just thinking here. Feeling imaginary.

Hello, June...
