Summer's Last

In the pale afternoon, a bright black and orange Monarch butterfly fluttered by my window. Confetti from a passing parade -- or from one that had already passed. It is dark and cool now. The last evening of this Summer. I'm typing this from Amy's place, with her ever-tuxedoed kitties, Yoda and Jedi, in attendance. They kind of make this season-ending a semi-formal occasion. We are going to mull apple cider and toast the Summer...and the entrance of Autumn. All this time and all of these moments. How fast and memorable.

Here's to many more.
