April 2007 Archives
You are on our minds; here's to better years ahead.
Happy birthday, Bill!
"They will tear your mind away from contemplation..." Bob Dylan - "Ain't Talkin'"
Dylan is really growing on me. Joel loaned me his Modern Times disc and I've been playing it quite a bit. Good stuff.
It's bright and perfect, today. A lot of blue-skied warmth and Spring-washed air. I'm heading out with Amy; gonna enjoy my day off. Got to: it's an early one tomorrow.
Ah well...
I'm showered, dressed, pushing coffee and munching a Powerbar -- and I just saw a very large night-shaded deer quietly roaming through my front yard. But I have to say:
This is way too early for me. Even my little Google "Tea House" fox is still sleeping!
Ugh.
I caught my first glimpse of kites on Easter Sunday. One looped and traced patterns in the air, screened by the trees of the park. It is nice to see them in the sky again -- and to feel the cold backing off a bit. Spring, resuming. Now, if only the flowers would get back on track...
I'm kind of worn-out, tonight. Just slowly winding down after work. I'll sleep in tomorrow -- and hopefully wake to sunshine and warmer hours.
Here's to a bright (and warm!) Holiday -- and to a beautiful Spring.
Happy Easter!
And Happy Birthday, Julia. I hope your day is a pretty one with many more to come!
The first of the month, and rain is wetting early blossoms. The sky is flat gray but the landscape is greening -- and I'm enjoying my day off work. Gotta love that!
It is soft and quiet, here; a slow Sunday. I sense a cup of coffee in my very near future...and the paper. I may watch Children of Men tonight, time permitting.
All-in-all, it is a smooth and lazy groove, today. But that's cool.
Hello, April!
