The First, of May

It looks like Spring, today -- all bright skies and bird song. The grass is a dense green carpet, speckled with yellow flowers. The air is warm and sweet.

And it's my day off work; gotta love that! So, I'm doing chores and unwinding (up next: coffee and a late breakfast)...

I received a nice little surprise in the mail the other day. Holly, from Cliff Road Books, sent me a copy of Strange But True North Carolina, by Lynne L. Hall which features (on page 34) my photo of the statue of Virginia Dare in the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, NC. Nifty!

If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend touring the Elizabethan Gardens; they are absolutely beautiful -- and the town of Manteo is lovely as well. It has been too long since I've been there...

Anyway, gotta toss some laundry in and snag my coffee.

Hello May!
