January Drift

It sort of feels like an extended suspension, after the holidays.  Time, and the rhythm of things, linger unfixed.  2008 is unfocused right now.  A wintry blur.  Only today have I taken down my Christmas cards and assorted decorations.  I'm just drifting in the moment, admiring this anticipating that.  Cleaning a bit, puttering around...
