Outside, in the blooming...

Fragrant white blossoms on the trees, lilacs speckling bluish-purple.  Dandelions and bird-song -- and the bright tumbling of water in the fountain.

Sunday, and I'm off (and wearing yellow in the yard).  A small plastic table to my left bearing catalogs, telephones, a novel, sunglasses and an almost empty glass of beer.

I'm thinking of Summer.  The sky is featureless white -- the sun, a bright blur.  Things are growing green.  Petals are falling like snow.  And there is the sound of water, and the birds...and the soft breeze, pushing time out.
